GymPin Safety Squat Handles are designed for lifters who struggle to comfortably grip a straight bar during back squats because of restricted shoulder mobility, discomfort or previous injury. The forward handle position reduces the shoulder rotation normally required while retaining a familiar high-bar squat setup.
Position the handles evenly on a suitable straight bar. Tighten both thumb nuts on each handle by hand, making sure the protective rubber strips are seated correctly against the bar. Confirm that neither handle can slide or rotate before unracking.
Select Rubber or Knurled in the product purchase area where each option is available. Rubber provides a softer and more forgiving contact surface. Knurled gives a firmer metal grip with more direct feedback.
These handles change where you hold the bar, not the fundamentals of safe squatting. Use an appropriate rack and safeties, inspect the handles and protective strips, tighten every thumb nut and begin with a light test set.
